Ted Hershey Dance & Music Marathon 2011

The Ted Hershey Dance & Music Marathon 2011 celebrates the life and work of Ted Hershey, who died of AIDS in 1998. As a principal dancer with the Hartford Ballet and co-founder of Works Contemporary Dance, his vision was to make the arts a vital part of the life of his city. The Marathon is offered as a gift to his memory and to the community he nurtured. Every year the Ted Hershey Dance & Music Marathon starts on the weekend of the changing of the clocks, thus celebrating both the increase in sunlight and the legacy of Hartford dancer, choreographer and educator, Ted Hershey.
Tickets are $25 general admission, $10 seniors, students, Charter Oak and Let*s Go Arts! Members. The Marathon month will continue with workshops and music events.
